NECT was established in October 2000 when a number of trainers in the North East of England joined together to deliver quality training in Construction, Highway Maintenance, Plant, Fencing, Management Training and Assessment. The Esh Group provided the ideal environment and support for such a venture.
In 2006, NECT relocated to a new office based in Esh Business Park, Newton Aycliffe. This move has allowed our company to develop its training facilities and to offer practical training and assessment on-site, as well as the theoretical aspects connected with the construction industry.
The Esh Group prides itself on the level of training of its people. NECT provides and sources the group's training requirements and is proud to be able to make this quality training available across the North East construction sector.
In 2003 the innovative and Award Winning training/work experience programme - Fit for Employment - was launched. NECT runs this course which provides Year 11 (GCSE) students with work experience in the construction sector leading to 20 real jobs in the Esh Group annually. Fit for Employment Again now offers similar opportunities to the unemployed via Job Centre.
